This year we’re going BIG! We’re partnering with Adventures Live from Accra, Ghana.
In 2019, I said to my BFFFL Malaka Grant, “I want us to organize a festival on sex and sexualities”, and in November of that year, with the support of so many incredible African feminists, we pulled off an incredible event in Accra, Ghana. Since then, every year Adventures Live has taken place IRL in Accra, apart from 2021 when we did something different - an online festival incorporating virtual reality. ~ Nana Darkoa
This is a dream come true for Nana Darkoa and the Kaz Entertainment team who envisaged this festival as a Pan-African festival that would rotate through different African countries and territories and here it is!!
The theme of the festival this year is ‘Sexual Utopia: Here, Now and Beyond. Featuring 5 panel discussions on Sexual Here and Now (Kaz), Body Positivity (Lizzie K.), Sex and Spirituality (Nana Akosua), Sexual Utopia Now and Beyond (Nana Darkoa) & The Great Debate by Solage.
What’s more, there will be epic art performances by Karun, Kaz & Majic, Art in Motion, Tapiwa and Etana and Shakti Studio coming through with pole performances. Our psyche MC Sharlotte Kigezo.
On day 2 we have 4 more intriguing workshops on Queering the Love of Language by Majic, Exploring Rope & Bondage by Tapiwa, How to Access Pleasure by Leila, and a Fuck Guide by Tiff from Holla Africa. Astrology/Cosmology (Mildred Awino), Paint & Sip (Sama Paints) , Sunset Yoga (Shakti Studio) & chill as we wrap it up!!
We invite you for this not one but two-day Fest to imagine and co-create with us, a utopia made out of your most pleasurable fantasies. We invite you to imagine the desires that make you feel safe, happy, and free. Come meet, greet and engage our amazing facilitators in catching a glimpse of what African Sex Liberation could look like.
